For travel within the continental United States and to many countries, dogs and
cats just need a current rabies vaccine and a 10-day health certificate. For
travel to Mexico, Hawaii, Australia, Asia and the European Union, they’ll need
a few more things to avoid an unwanted trip back home, or an unexpected
quarantine.
Some traveling policies require at least 6 months of preparation – be sure to
plan ahead!
