Beyond the basics, there are many common problems in veterinary medicine that can be diagnosed and treated at home. Good examples of this include: itching and
scratching; problems with the eyes, ears or skin; mild to moderate arthritis;
minor wounds or lacerations.
During a house call, Dr. Magalhaes can collect samples from your pet for outside
laboratory testing. Common tests include Complete Blood Count & Blood
Chemistry Panels, Heartworm Testing, Feline Viral Testing, Urinalysis, Fecal
Examination, Bacterial and Fungal Cultures, and even Skin Biopsies.
Our pharmacy is well-stocked, allowing Dr. Maghales to fill most prescriptions
on the spot. Flea control products are also available. Some medications and
prescription diets can be ordred through Vet Home Express’ Pharmacy ( please
click on the Pharmacy tab for more information) with next day delivery if
necessary.
If your pet requires x-rays, anesthesia, dentistry or surgery, Dr. Maghales can
make arrangements with a local vet or even refer you to a specialist.
